85th MCGINLEYS’ GOLDEN ACE ST. PATRICK’S CELEBRATION—MARCH 16TH & 17TH

PERFORMING BOTH FRI MARCH 16 AND SAT MARCH 17

Flat Out—Direct From Ireland

Flat out is a young, energetic four-piece band on US Tour from their homes in Co. Mayo, Ireland. Shortly after forming in 2014, Flat Out won a prestigious song competition in Ireland. Since then they have traveled to Africa to perform for the Irish Embassy, completed a three-month residency at Disney in Orlando, Florida and have even performed on RTE–Ireland’s National Television! Their sound can be described as a mixture of Irish Folk, Irish Trad, and a few Pop tunes just for good measure. With Traditional Irish instruments including the harp, accordion, fiddle, bodhrán, flute and tin-whistle, Flat Out has created quite the following in Ireland.

Dooley Brothers—Direct From Ireland

Situated an hour outside of Dublin, in a quiet farming community of Co. Laois, is the home of two of Ireland’s best kept musical secrets: The Dooley Brothers. With their strong, powerful voices, these two men, according to Derek Warfield, sound like ten! In fact, Derek was so thrilled after witnessing this folk and rebel band live that he called us up the next day and said we MUST bring the Dooley’s into our Celebration. When a legend in the Irish music business sings a bands’ praise, we listen. So should you! And they’re coming in to the States exclusively for our St. Patrick’s Celebration!

Pat Grant & Accompanist—Born in Ireland

The best Irish tenor in Indiana, Patrick Grant, has performed at the Golden Ace for nearly forty years! His voice is incredible, he sings the Irish songs that we can all sing-a-long to and but hits the notes that not all of us can hit. By the age of twelve, he was singing live on the B.B.C., and he has continued to hone his talents throughout the years. Upon coming to the US, Pat has appeared on stage with such classic artists as Pat O’Brien and Dennis Day.

FRIDAY ONLY

The Narrowbacks—From New York on US Tour

“The Narrowbacks are the real deal and the sky is the limit for this young group of paddy rockers” – Paddy Rock Radio

The Narrowbacks are a six-piece Celtic Rock band from the heart of New York’s Irish community. They cut their teeth in Paddy Reilly’s Music Bar and followed in the footsteps other bands from there; The Mickey Finns, The Prodigals and The McCabes. They rock pubs and Irish Fests throughout the U.S, including our own Indy Irish Fest!

SATURDAY ONLY

The Bronx Boys—From New York via Scotland

You may recognize these two lads from their three-piece Irish folk band, The Colin Farrell Band, which appeared at the Ace last summer. Lead singer and guitarist Alan Murray was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. Dan Lowery, one of the top flutists in Irish music, first met Alan when they were both a part of The Young Wolfe Tones. Since then, they have completed a residency in Raglan Road Pub in Disney World and are currently performing at one of the most known Irish pubs in the U.S., McGurk’s in St. Louis.
